I would like to sum up the topic by reminding us once again as to why we need to pray.

Why Allah Ordained us to Worship Him?

  1. He Deserves to be Worshipped: It is the right of Allah that we worship Him. He is our creator. He created everything with perfection. We are bestowed with countless blessings from Allah. Allah creates and selects the best for us.
e.g: Allah selected Prophet Mohammad (SAW) for us among others.

It is narrated on the authority of Mu'adh b. Jabal that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Mu'adh, do you know the right of Allaah over His bondsmen? He (Mu'adh) said: Allaah and His Prophet know best. He (the Messenger of Allaah) said: That Allaah alone should be worshipped and nothing should be associated with Him. He (the Prophet) said: What right have they upon Him in case they do it? He (Mu'adh) said: Allaah and His Prophet know best. He (the Prophet) said: That He would not punish them.

  2. Worship is the way to Freedom and Dignity: We are the slaves of Allah. We are free. If we become the slave of the dollar, then we are disgraced.
  3. Worship is the Sustenace to Our Souls
    a.    helps us control our desires
    b.    gives us peaceful mind and happiness
    c.    turn to Allah at all times
  4. Worship Comes to Our Rescue at Hard Times:
    a.    when we do Ibadah, we get ease from our hardhsips.
    b.    Allah helps us at the time of difficulty.
  5. Worship Allah fearing His Punishment and Hoping for Jannah:
    a.    we worship Allah so that we do not enter Hell.
    b.    to enter Jannah.
    c.    to seek Allah`s forgiveness

It does not take more than 1 hour in a day out of 24 hours that Allah has blessed us with to pray. The maximum we take is 10-15 minutes. Can`t we spend 1 hour daily for Allah who provided us this beautiful blessed Life?

Allah say`s in the Qur`an:

“Allah does not burden a person beyond what He can bear.“ [2:286]

Our Success is not for this world. Whatever money we make, it will not follow us in our graves. But it is only only our prayers and good deeds that will make our life in this world and in the hereafter better.

May Allah make us among those who pray regularly and help us guide our families in the right path. Ameen.
